It’s such a boooring week. Had to give a presentation of my dissertation on Tuesday, which was awful! (We had a panel of Phd students watch us, then grill us and slate us!) The rest of the week has dissapeared and I am now trying to get ready for exams. Grr. On the plus side my healthy regime has started, getting as fit as I can for my Greece holiday at the end of May! :D
Now my dissertation is in, I have a few days to have fun before studying for three exams. Yay! So happy I can relax a bit. Really, really looking forward to after May 12 when I am officially free again, to do everything I always wanted to! No more study! Wheeee.
I was wondering if you would explain what psycholinguistics is. I am really interested in regular linguistics, you see :P
Oh god. Linguistics is interesting - even fun. But psycholinguistics is from the devil. It concerns how the brain processes and understands language, using obscure models of how we understand auditory or written words. My classes have mostly been about models of language recognition that noone can possibly find out the real answer. Haha sound fun?
Final year dissertation due at 4pm today. Must plod on finishing the loose ends. This will be a joy to have handed in - only one more encounter with Psycholinguistics for the rest of my life in an exam, then I’m done!
